well, im not sure if i want it to happen, but i think gale is going to be the one to die (however i'd rather him over peeta).
I say this cause when i was thinking i remember Gale kissing katniss in the forest; katniss wasn't sure who told the Capitol. So it could be Gale who told the Capitol about their kiss; he could be a "double-agent". the Capitol definatly knew about their relationship, they could of threaten his family (im pretty sure they mean more to him than katniss does, unfortunatly) into telling them stuff, he probably dislikes Peeta more than he/Katniss lets on.
I'm also curious about them hinting something about Gale and Katniss' friend--the mayor's daughter-- having a thing going on. But that's another topic, unless it intertwines with this one.
But, since one of the main characters are going to die--don't hate me-- i'd want to Gale to die in MockingJay, and those are my reasons why. feel free to find the holes. and don't hate me.

but couldnt there be some more of those Mockingjays around the forest or something? or maybe security cameras of some sort out at that shack near the lake

there could have been some mockingjays, but that'd kinda mess people with the ideas of mocking jays being the symbol of the rebellion? or maybe they could be, and thats what collins wants!
and since Katniss practically grew up there, wouldn't you think she'd notice if someone was messing around in her forest (RE cameras) ?

well they couldve been placed before she was born and the Jabberjays used to inform the Capital of the Rebels' ideas and report back which is ........ how District 13 got destroyed in the first place The destruction of District 13 was to show the Rebels who was boss

Um. I don't think Gale is worthy of betraying Katniss is that matter.

He might be able to, he MIGHT; we know little to nothing about him, we only know what Katniss knows about him (and she definitly wouldn't know this), he doesn't show his emotions, he appears too secretive (to me atleast), and who knows what else.
All im saying is that he could be a "double-agent" to the Capitol, and maybe he dies, and maybe that could be why.

Oh mockingjays/jabberjays can only do sounds right? how would the Capitol know? They never talked about the kiss again, i don't even think they mentioned the kiss at that part, and i don't think they'd be able to know it was Katniss and Gale kissing from the sound of the smooch. There's probably cameras somewhere, or someone knew and told.
