Cliffhanger ending?

What did you guys think about the ending.
No, I don't think Peeta is dead.
But yet again, he could be, I'm just hopping he's not.

Peeta is defintely not dead. I mean if he is, then there's no point to the story anymore. The love triangle angle is a major part of the story. It would be a disaster if the author kills one major character at the early stage of the story. And yes, the ending of book two is a major cliffhanger! I was like, OMG!

No, It would make Katniss hate the Capitol even more and rebel against it.

yeah once that she thought the footage of the same lady every year with the same bird in the corner, it seemed like something was up .... something we were supposed to know but we just couldnt find out yet, the plot had to build up to the rebellions all around the Capital.

I had this vision where a lot of Mockingjays are at District 13 and
fly away like the cover.

I was so frustrated, but delighted at the same time! Let me explain...
You see, I wanted to know what had happened to the whole of Panem and Peeta and President Snow. But I was so glad there was another book coming our way!
Peeta is not dead. I refuse to believe it. No, no, no, no!

I think a lot of fans would be mad if he died, but Collins said a major character will die in Mockingjay.

I'm so hoping that Peeta won't die...
It would be just...so sad. Well, I think, he's amazing and would be best for Katniss.
So all I want is him to be saved and end up with katniss...
And I'm afraid that this won't happen...

i know if Peeta dies im gonna cry and refuse to look at how the rest of the book turns out..........................................




although thats kinda hard to promise 'cause Collins is such a great author!!! shes good at keeping her readers hooked.

Daisy Duke, I would like to do the same...To close the book and mourn Peeta...But I think, that's impossible... , because I wouldn't stand it more than 5 minutes or so and then I would continue reading..., but I would be sad...

Hmmm. In Catching Fire is one scene...It's when katniss admits that she feels something when she kisses Peeta....
EAnd earlier he said, that Katniss should have a life with Gale and have children...
So maybe, Collins wrote this, because she wants to Katniss to think about that when Peetas dead....So that she will continue living...
For me this whole scene seemed like a goodbye...
But it can't be....... =(

yeah theres no way it can be a goodbye and maybe theres the slightest chance that Collins did do that but i think the Peeta fans will be really depressed about it if he does die....


but life goes on and that could be the theme of the Mockingjay..... moving on, living life, not holding to the past.......


but if he does die there could be another outcome where Katniss and Gale join together to take down the Capital in revenge. Katniss's reason would be because of Peeta a good friend and Gale's would probably be the loss of his home in District 12 and (if, if, if) because he didnt get his family out of there on time...... we never did find that out

I imagine the Mockingjays on there side and defeating the Capitol along side with
the people of District 13.

A goodbye? Jeez, I hadn't thought of that... oh man!

It's sad the fact that Katniss has these two guys-- both love her-- and she has to... well, not choose, but... pick the one she would want to spend her life with.
Or maybe, she won't pick either of them. Maybe, they will all become friends... No, no, I don't think so.

I loved it when I read Katniss felt something for Peeta. I started squealing, ha.

I'm just not sure if Peeta and Gale will be able to be friends, with their, ugh, conflict... there will always be a rivalry, I think. Even if one of them agrees for Katniss to be with the other...

I don't think they are rivals.
They haven't gotten a chance to meet each other.

Peeta did show some sort of concern when Gale got whipped...... maybe if Gale just knew the reason Katniss had to do everything with Peeta then maybe she could introduce them.
